Volunteers’ Week falls between 1st & 7th June each year. It is an opportunity for good causes to say thank you to all their volunteers and to showcase their new volunteering activities.
WSMS will be holding an event on Thursday 3rd June, between 10am & 3pm in Horsham Park, at the top of the tree avenue towards Park House, where we have our offices. Please feel free to drop by to see what we do and what’s on offer. You may be able to chat to some of our existing volunteers and staff. Just look out for our colourful 3m gazebo, which was paid for by One Stop convenience stores under their ‘Carriers for Good’ scheme (sales of carrier bags in their shops). We are holding the event outdoors because of Covid-19 but will still be taking due precautions. Being outdoors, the event may well be weather dependent. if high winds or heavy rain is forecast, we may have to cancel. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
We are likely to be recruit new community mediators very soon. Other volunteering opportunities include fundraisers, event organisers, admin assistance, and helping with marketing and social media.
