Community Mediation is sometimes regarded as the poor relation in the world of mediation and sits in the shadows of Family, Civil/Commercial and Workplace Mediation.
A report has recently been published by Mediation Hertfordshire and their CEO Victoria Harris LLM. WSMS were happy to contribute to this during the research phase, which took place between April & July 2021. This was all possible due to some funding from the Tudor Trust .
Twelve recommendations were made at the conclusion of the report ranging from new legislation, the formation of a National Community Mediation Service and an awareness raising campaign.
