Work for Good

West Sussex Mediation Service have teamed up with fundraising platform ‘Work for Good’ , to invite small business supporters to take part in the #SmallBusinessStars match funding campaign. A festive fundraising opportunity to help charities raise much needed funds by working with small businesses who are at the heart of UK communities.

Despite the challenges this year has presented, Work for Good has seen a huge increase in small businesses donating to charity. In fact, from April to September, small businesses have pledged and donated over £450k to charity via the fundraising platform – an incredible and encouraging figure given the challenges businesses have faced.

Nick Handley, our Service Co-ordinator said, “We are grateful to Work for Good to give us this opportunity. We know that it is difficult times for small businesses at the present time, but this initiative might be a good match up at this time of the year.”

How it works:

– Small businesses need to donate a proportion of the sales of their products or services to West Sussex Mediation Service via Work for Good, between 1st – 31st December.

Work for Good will then match the donation – up to £500 per business, whilst funds remain.

As well as raising money for good causes, the #SmallBusinessStar match funding campaign was created to shine a light on the UK’s incredible small business community. Purposeful businesses that have worked hard to give back and donate to charities like West Sussex Mediation Service during the pandemic.
