Come then end of March, WSMS will be in need of a new Treasurer when our current post holder stands down after 3 1/2 years helping the charity. This is a voluntary role which includes holding the position of Trustee on the Management Committee.
The key purpose of this post is to maintain an overview of the organisation’s affairs, ensuring its financial viability and ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained.
The Trustees meet four times a year plus at our AGM in September. The charity currently has a bookkeeper who deals with monthly payroll, invoice payments and banking.
This position would be an opportunity for someone with accounting experience to ‘give something back’ and broaden their experience and knowledge of the charitable sector.
WSMS is fortunate to attract a volunteer who externally examines our accounts each year on a pro bono basis and thereby saving the charity a good sum of money.
