Neighbour Wars

There is hardly a week goes by without a news story in the papers or online about neighbour disputes that go horribly wrong. The latest appears in the Daily Mail today and online (click for link). It is titled, ‘The gardener, her clematis and two octogenarians with secateurs who’ve now got criminal records after court decided they cut down plant on purpose’.
Neighbour disputes can escalate over time and lead to otherwise uncharacteristic behaviour as tempers fray and frustrations mount and as the article proves it spans the generations.

WSMS loves to get involved in such disputes. We have some great successes in changing lives for the better by helping resolve disputes that otherwise can get out of hand. It is not our intention to make disputants ‘kiss and make up’ but they do sometimes leave the mediations smiling, conversing and restoring their neighbourly relations. I’m sure no-one wants to find themselves before a Magistrate and ending up with a criminal conviction. This can have serious implications in terms of employment, travel and insurance cover plus the obvious public embarrassment and publicity.

If you know off anyone in a dispute, whether it be with a neighbour, partner, work colleague or family member, do head them in our direction for a chat.
