Our charity is only small and we don’t have a dedicated team of fundraisers who can bring in the funds to keep us afloat. We are currently finding it a bit of a struggle to make ends meet.
In 2019 we are very keen to recruit some community fundraising volunteers. Whether or not you have any experience in this function, we would love to hear from any enthusiastic individuals who would be happy to help us to organise some community fundraising events. It can be to the very simple, such as a quiz night, car wash, or charity cake stall, coffee morning, to a curry night, choir concert, challenge event, dance event, music event, bingo, fashion show, etc, etc. The world is your oyster!
The office would give all the support we can in terms of equipment, access to a computer/desk/phone, equipment and publicity. We have public liability insurance in place. You can offer whatever time you can. Even if you just want to work from home, we use various online fundraising platforms such as the Horsham Community Lottery, giveasyoulive.com, charitablebookings.com, and gofundme all of which require promoting.
Why not get a few friend or work colleagues together to do it as a joint venture. You really could make a difference. 2019 is likely to be a defining year for our charity in terms of future viability. Having been around since 2000, we don’t want to fade into the background now.
