Covid-19 Update

Communications in respect of the Coronavirus are being circulated thick and fast, from various sources, but here is one from us to update everyone as to where we currently stand, in respect of the very serious situation affecting us all.

The health and wellbeing of all our clients, staff and volunteers is paramount. We want to play our part in preventing the spread of the virus amongst the elderly and more vulnerable groups. We are following all the latest Government guidance.

WSMS has had the capability to transition to remote working for some time. We hope to continue to provide full email and phone support during normal office hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. We have a Live Chat facility on our website which also has a contact form and ability to message us ‘offline’. We have Skype and Zoom accounts for video calls and our telecoms system has ‘Unified Communications’.

We have suspended face to face contact with clients. We will replace this with phone interviews/support and video conferencing (subject to agreement).

We would encourage communication via email rather that post. Most of our communications will be via that method (and into the future due to the not insignificant impending increases in postal charges).

We will continue to provide a service and would encourage all our traditional referrers to still consider us. With couples and families on lock-down and neighbours in proximity to each other for longer periods there is a good chance that disputes and conflicts will arise.

This will be aggravated by the worry over contracting the virus, over family income/finances and the stress around job uncertainly/unemployment.

We wish you all well and hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel, in the not too distant future.
