Who we are

We are a Registered Charity, formed in 2000 to offer mediation to the community of Horsham District. Since then we have gradually expanded services and now cover all of West Sussex.

What we do

We deal with many forms of mediation between individuals, groups or organisations. Mediation is a form of ADR – alternative dispute resolution. Our core business is neighbourhood conflict – primarily neighbour disputes.

Who are the mediators?

We use fully trained and accredited, local volunteer mediators to service our casework. Many have been with us for many years and have vast experience in conflict resolution. Our training is accredited with the Open College Network (OCN). Many of our mediators have achieved personal OCN accreditation. We also have mediators who are members of the College of Mediators. Why use us?

We have eleven years experience in conflict resolution. Whilst we welcome donations, our core services are currently free to the end user. For those cases that we have to charge, our rates are extremely competitive. We currently service between 210 - 250 referrals a year. Testimonials.

Our staff

Our office is currently staffed by one full time service co-ordinator and two part time caseworkers, providing coverage between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm - Monday to Friday. All three staff members are trained mediators in their own right.

Governance

Our charity is guided by a Management Committee consisting of a number of trustees (currently 11). It is assisted by a number of non voting Observers and Advisors from statutory authorities, funders and other interested parties.
